As a member of NWMA, a portion of your dues are paid for your membership with the National Council of Social Security Management Associations (NCSSMA).  NCSSMA represents the management associations and advocates to improve management and program administration in SSA.  You can find more information about NCSSMA here.

NCSSMA Committees

The 2024 NCSSMA Committee Roster can be found at this link:  NCSSMA NWMA FY 24 Committee Roster.  Each committee is made up of at least one management association member from each region.  There are calls throughout the year that allow you to work alongside different SSA components and collaborate with management peers across the country.  You are able to work on national resolutions and weigh in on new agency initiatives and communication.  If you are interested in joining a committee or have any questions, please reach out to anyone on the NWMA EC page.

Promoting Leadership and NCSSMA (PLAN)

NCSSMA is excited to announce PLAN (Promoting Leadership and NCSSMA) for CY 2024.  PLAN is an eight-month program targeting GS-12 management positions in the FO, TSC, or WSU. Participants will have professional development opportunities throughout 2024 exposing them to the important work NCSSMA does. They will gain a greater understanding of the work NCSSMA does with Congress, Social Security Advisory Board, SSA executives, and other managers across the agency to improve service delivery to our customers. The NCSSMA PLAN Application will open October 31st and close on November 17th.
